Hi all,

Going by the wing venation, I think this is Phasia sp. Is it the case, and if so, which one ?
Corroy le grand (Belgium) August 21st 2007
10 mm approx.

TIA

Phasia obesa - male :) The reasons being: quite small, mainly black with grey dusting on the anterior parts of the thorax; and male because of those classic 'male Phasia' wings :)

Thanks Chris. Must have been my lucky day, I am so often wrong on flies, that getting even the genus right is a wow.

Don't worry - I have my own lucky and unlucky days with tachinid identification ;)
