Hi there!
Another miner. This one I found on one of my appletrees (Malus sp). I've been searching on the internet (bladmineerders.nl, a.o.) but I'm still in the dark here.
Anyone any suggestions?
Cheers!
2 photo's : 2 (different) species??

as Tony said: it is very improbable to find agromyzids galleries on leaves of fruit trees. Maybe some kind of Lepidoptera? Or another order...

The form of this mine fits Apple Leaf Miner,
Lyonetia clerkella (Lepidoptera: Lyonetiidae), quite well.

Improbable maybe, but not impossible. I found several examples of Diptera miners on (fruit)tree-leafs on the incredible site www.bladmineerders.nl. Phytomyza heringiana is one of them, found on (a.o.) Malus sp.

I agree, but when I look at the pictures J?rgen refers to, I'm not sure. I haven't seen such peculiar weblike structures on the leafs of my appletree!
I'm still a bit in the dark here.... Help me?!:|
