Thanks, I think too. But is it possible to identify the species? I've never seen a specimen with orange scutellum.

Several
Cetema species are similar in colour, but I think the extended frons is a more helpful character

No, not
Cetema, which lacks the protruding frons. John and Barbara Ismay have had a look at the photos and suggest it is a species of
Capnoptera (I'd not heard of this genus). All three European species occur in Italy, and I have no idea how to tell them apart.
