Flensburg, N. Germany, 3rd August 2018.
We're experiencing a drought and there have been very few insects around but on this evening, after a bit of rain I saw this on my garage window. Haven't seen it again since.
Poor photographs but maybe someone can ID the family.
Body 5-6mm, wings 5-6mm.

This helps a lot because I have carrots in my garden which always get infested with carrot fly (Chamaepsila rosae) larvae but have never seen one of the flies. Now I'll know what to look for.
