Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Very tiny killerfly?

Hi everybody,

I found this very tiny fly in my garden on september 12th. Is it lonchaeidae?
Can anyone give me an ID and even more interesting: is the other tiny fly in the picture its prey or perhaps its mate that just passed away? I haven't got a clue!

Maybe Coenosia atra of Muscidae. Very tiny picture.

It looks a bit like my fly, but I guess C.atra is much smaller ... It is hard to see any detail on the photo above.
