Hello!
Another Tachinid from near the forest (yesterday, Ostwestfalen/Germany). Can someone put a label on it? Thanks in advance!

This is asking a lot.
The pic is consistent with Blondelia nigripes female.
But many details cannot be seen....

Hello!
Maybe this one from yesterday is the same species?

Not the same species - look at the bend in vein M and the hairy eyes - totallty different. The second fly looks more like a
Phryxe but I am not 100% sure.

Thanks! I have always difficulties to see, whether eyes are hairy or bare :-(. The only difference I saw was that the eyes were somewhat more red.

In the field or on the pic ?
Look at the right side of the right eye, clearly haired.

In the field my eyesight is mostly too faint to see more than 'just a small fly'... ;). On the pics I am often not sure, whether I see photo artifacts ("noise"), some dust, pollen or the like.
