This Syrphidae I've observed in Kampen (NL) on 27-04-2018. Is this a Platycheirus species?

Hello Henri, i find it easy to maintain a checklist of known Syrphidae in my country, then i search each genus to get an idea of which genera fit a species in my photo. Maybe ten minutes to search. In this case, i find three prominent possibilities:

Meligramma, Meliscaeva, Platycheirus.

I think that Meliscaeva looks most like the species in the photo but i know little about Syrphidae. Perhaps someone can confirm Meliscaeva or offer a better option.

Hello Henri & johnes81,

The shape of the spots on the abdomen and the dust on the frons all points to Melanostoma scalare, female.

Kind regards,

Ectemnius

after i posted, i checked to see if Melanostoma is in my checklist. I see that it is present, so i forgot to search this genus. I am glad that you posted Ectemnius. However, i should've known this because i have a specimen. I completely forgot about it. Sometimes i can be a bit off the rails :)
