Dear forum,
This fly is completely foreign to me. I've never seen (noticed) it before. Typically it's always sitting on the same tree, on the side out of the sun (if there is any!) and always faced down. Futhermore it's quite easy to approach (I don't have macrolens yet, so the picture is still taken too far away):( and only flies away when you're almost touching it.
Can anyone give an ID?
Thanks!

No picture, but it sounds rather like a Rhagionidae....

I seem to have trouble attaching the picture. I'll try again...
Hope it works now.
Edit: I guess not!!!!:@
I'll try another way. Be back soon!
Cheers!

Alright, I'm back... Here's another attempt. This should wrok.
By the way, looking at he picture again I'm guessing it could be a muscidae, or couldn't it? (the picture is tilted)

Phaonia, I'd say.

Thanks Kahis!
This particular individual was extremely docile, almost "tame" , if that's the word to use. Do you, by any chance, know if this is common among these species? I'm considering having it as a pet. :D
Cheers!
