This small (4-5mm) fly is often found in forest, especialy near dung and carrion. It has very slow helicopter-like flight.

Thank you Kahis.
My second question was "is it known that this Hybotidae is larviparous?"
Instead of this question I put another one:
Is the fact of larvipary of this fly prooves that it is
O.glabricula? :D

Hi Nikita,

O. glabricula is correct.

"is it known that this Hybotidae is larviparous?" - This fact is well documented. Let me know if you would like to have references.

All the best,

Igor:)

It's a pity, I spend a lot of time collecting 1-st instar larvae in alcochol :@
