Thread subject: Diptera.info :: ID please

Dear all,

I am having difficulties to identify this insect. It is found trapped by Australian carnivorous plant Drosera adelae. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Irwan

I think this is Ephemeroptera, perhaps one of the Leptophlebiidae, but I am not familiar with the Australian fauna, and might be completely wrong!

I think you're right about it belonging in Ephemeroptera both from the wing venation and the tiny hind wing. What I'm interpreting as an eye appears to fit that order too
