Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Phania funesta

Location: Near Stockholm, Sweden
Date: 2007-SEP-01
Habitat: Leucanthemum vulgare (or lookalike)
Size: Slightly bigger than Phasia obesa/pusilla (I think it was, photo of that coming later)

I think this belongs to Muscidae, but I have no idea on the genus. First I thought something like Rhinophoridae, but the wing venation doesn't fit ... There is a slight bend in M, but Muscidae can have that. If not Muscidae, then I suspect a Tachinid ...

Edit: Changed subject (Muscidae (black))

Hello!

I think, no Muscid, but Phania (cf. funesta) (Tachinidae). Typical wing attitude.

I think it's annoying to confirm excellent ID's, so normally I don't comment.
but when you ask, I can confirm !

No, you didn't, so nothing to apologize for.
