Hello!

I found this 5 mm small fly yesterday on a meadow with apple trees near a forest (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Suddenfly it took off, flew a small circle, and when it returned, it had captured a small midge.
Later I also saw two of this species mating (unfortunately no photos).

Is it Hybos culiciformis (on the photos in the gallery H. femoratus does not have all black legs)? Thanks in advance!

It's seems to me too, but I'm a not a specialist, I'm based on what I have seen on the net. Let's wait...

Best wishes
