Hello!

This fly from yesterday at a hedge (Ostwestfalen/Germany) was only 5 mm long. It resembles Pegomyia bicolor (Anthomyiidae) in the gallery. Is this possible? Thanks!

Thanks, Jorge!

When I saw pictures of such a fly some days ago by another photographer I first thought of some Phaonia. But this one was much smaller than P. rufiventris for example (and the other fly was identified as Pegomyia here, so I thought mine could be the same ;)).

Ah, one of the exceptions to the rule... (most '...myias' written with that 'i'), thanks!
