I beleve this fly, a little bit over 1 cm, is a Conopid.
Taken today in Budi?o (Pontevedra) Spain in a marshland area at sea level.
Comments on possible species are wellcome.

Sicus ferrugineus.
I want to see this fly again. :) I only saw twice. ;)

you are doing so perfect image.
you have already writed here something about the equipment. i will be very interesting also on another aspects: flash (yes/not) (ring/or), exposure time, aperture.

It is a Sicus but Sicus nigritarsis - look at the tarsi and the protuding theca!

black tarsi!! :) and in S. ferrugineus they are brown? Is it right?
