Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae, Mydaea corni from Romania

Hi,

photographed this fly in Retezat National Park in 18.august.2006, at ~1300m.
size was something like 7-8 mm.

is Mydaea corni?

Really, this MUST be the most strangest "fly" I've seen so far! Undoubtely!
This must be a new species for the world! wow! :D
a muscid fly that tried to be a beetle.. it was almost! :) It cheats well! :p
