Weird looking....something is wrong with this one, shape of ovipositor looks much like Tolmerus cingulatus but i can't see enough to be sure.

Many thanks, Reinoud. There were other Tolmerus cingulatus around, the normal grey form and I think this must be some kind of aberration.

Tolmerus cingulatus I believe. Seen on the same day in the same heathland area.

Yes that is T. cingulatus, which makes it more probable that the female is one too...but a clear view of the legs would be necessary....
