Hello,

is it possible to distinguish this one from similar species? What would I have to look for?

Thanks and regards,

Markus

If it is 10mm (even if it is somewhat smaller, say 8 :)), it is a female H nobile. H, niemelai female is definitlely smaller, below 6mm, otherwise inpossible to distingush by photos, since the distinguishing character is the shape of the tip of the last sternite.

Greetings,

Henrik

Thanks a lot, Henrik! Yes, it was clearly larger than 6 mm. It was one of the biggest cuckoo wasps I've seen.
