Thread subject: Diptera.info :: A hairy hoverfly - perhaps Eristalis intricaria?

This hairy hoverfly was seen on 20 july.
I am not sure, but could it be Eristalis intricaria?

Where was the fly seen?

The fly was Seen near a lake and a bog with alder in Eastern Denmark

That helps! ;) I'm thinking this may be Eristalis anthophorina, but I'm not familiar with the species, so best to wait for Gerard or another grand master to confirm.

I think you are right though. Didn't have this species in my mind, it is not common i Denmark.
