Hello,

Still in Savoy (France), 2007/7/27, 1750m above sea, size 8-9 mm.

At least it is not an Anthomyid...

Remember the famous quote by George Orwell:

"All Tachinids are beautiful, but some are more beautiful than others"


Pity we can't see the arista, it seems to be either Dexiini or Blondeliini and I don't think any Blondeliini has such a narrow vertex, therefore I go for Dexiini
I think this is the male of Dinera carinifrons
