but I think that it isn't.

Last Sunday near Benasque, Aragon, Spain, in medium Pyrenees about 1500 meters high, in mixed forest of Pinus sylvestris and Corylus avellana avobe all. The fly was very big, about 2 cm long (bigger than Mesembrina meridiana, looks like a bumblebee in colour, size and shape)

Thanks Chris! In a book I saw the thorax of M. mystacea with a reddish nude zone in the center. But maybe this fly have variability. One or two more opinions that confirm my ID?
