Hello,
A beautiful black Tachinid for Theo and Chris...
With this broad frons, could it be a
Gonia?

Yes, it looks like a
Gonia to me with that broad, convex, yellow frons but that's as far as I can go - so it's over to Theo for a species :)

Moreover, the ocellar bristles are reclinate, so it's definitely GOnia or ally.
However, it might be such an ally. Is this picture taken by any chance in the mountains ?
(we can't see the face, that's why I have to start guessing)

IN that case, it's Onychogonia, 3 very similar species (and little experience from my side)
