Thanks Theo for IDing my male Glaucops hirsutus. I wonder wether this may be the female?

Same location, seen only 20 minutes later. Much darker, almost black fly. Same size, may be slightly larger than my male Glaucops hirsutus, but would be in range of normal size variation. Eyes hairy!, showing as a kind of halo on the photographs. Coloured bands far less outspoken.

Same question of course: what species?;)

Yes.

It's a male Hybomitra caucasica, the only black Hybomitra with light palps. Despite the name common in the European mountains.
