Culicoidea without a long proboscis as in Culicidae, without a long, arched R2+3 base as in Dixidae, without the long, thin, sparsely-haired antennae of Corethrellidae. That process of exclusion leaves Chaoboridae, but it doesn't look like the common genus Chaoborus.

I can't see any spurs on the mid- and hind-legs, and the basitarsus is very short. Probably Mochlonyx.
