Somewhat similar to Carcelia sp, but looks much more streamlined.

Possibly a Phryxe sp. but I'm not too sure. Legs look too dark for Carcelia and, as you said, the shape isn't fat enough :)

Thx Chris, I have several images showing a Tachinid that I took for Carcelia sp. Now I have a little better idea how Carcelia sp should look like, and I try to eliminate the misidentifications. I'll post some more misidentified Carcelia sp later. These greyish Tachininae/Exoristinae flies are really though.

Yes, without a specimen it's often difficult/impossible - even for common species there are alternatives that you can only determine using a specimen & keys :(
