This caterpillar, around 10 mm, was found yesterday in a seed capsule of Gentiana pneumonanthe in south Sweden. What is it - a beetle or butterfly/moth?

It's certainly Lepidoptera and looks like Tortricidae.
Endothenia species have been recorded feeding on this plant and other genera on unspecified
Gentiana species. It would be worth trying to rear it through to the adult stage.

Interesting - tortricid seems to be good choice! Thanks! I will see if I can find some more to rear.
