Near river Ticino, feeding on a Quercus stump sap. Marano Ticino - Piedmont - Italy. 8.V.2016.
I think it should be an Ulidiidae, possibly an Exusta sp.

Thanks, Matteo.

Thank you for your answer. I checked www.fauna-eu.org, an online database and it seems that the only two species of Euxesta in Europe should be Euxesta pechumani Curran, 1938 and Euxesta stigmatias Loew, 1873, the latter known only for Romania.
Furthermore E. pechumani is considered synonymous of E. notata.

Best regards, Matteo.

Euxesta notata is found in Europe, including Italy. See old threads:

It is. Euxesta notata. I have not added this to FaEu DB merely because I have not edited this in the last 5 years. In fact, we have recorded 5 invasive species now.
