Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Lucilia sp.

Can anything more be said about this medium-sized (10mm) Lucilia? Location: southern England.

...and your choice is sericata, regalis, richardsi, magnicornis or silvarum. First antennal segment looks fairly short and frons looks fairly wide - odds are it is sericata, but these characters difficult to judge from photos.:(

Yeah, thanks for the comments ... but sericata does seem to be the common one around here. Just about everything I have caught this year keys out to it but I have caught plenty of Lucilia and I'll do some more keying in the winter :)
