Hello
Is it possible to give a species name to this
Cylindromyia ? On a
Cirsium flower, near a pound in Is?re (France) July 4th

dear Christophe,
I am sorry, but the picture is not good enough to give you a positive ID. I cannot see the bristles. The fly looks quite small, if it would be indeed about 5 mm., my guess it is a female C. pusilla, our smallest species.
