Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Hoverfly? with a Golden thorax. UK

I found this unusual species in a Forest in Wiltshire, UK at the weekend. Any clues to its ID. Perhaps one of the smaller Hoverflies. Thank you. Peter.

Hi nomad,

Two species it seems. Middle one is Xylota sylvarum, with the golden hair apically on the abdomen. First and last one Xylota segnis. Red segments on the middle of the abdomen...
