This was the only C. species seen by me to date in Hungary.

More views on my web site.

C. bicolor, no doubt, only C. with red tip to abdomen.
Large species, not uncommon in Mediterrean region.

Thx Theo for the ID. Debrecen is not supposed to be in the Mediterranean region, not easy to say this when we had 39.5 C earlier today, the higehest record ever for this location.

You can look up the status of this species for Hungary in Mihalyi.
I'm not aware how rare or common it is at your place.

Well it is uncommon, but not rare based on Mihalyi. The Calyptrate fauna has not been studied well since him, and I am sure there are many holes in the knowledge.
