Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Unusual coloring? --> Syrphus ribesii or torvus intersex

Hello,

I have not yet seen such coloring of the abdomen. ID possible?
Location: Northwest Germany, on the edge of a deciduous forest, size about 9 mm, photos on 06.08.2015.

That happens in S. ribesii and S. torvus.
