Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Syrphidae?

A syrphid from a gravel pit in S Sweden 20 april, body length 6 mm and with sparsely haired eyes. Thankful for any help to ID.

Neocnemodon sp. most probably or Triglyphus primus. (I cannot see the exact number of tergites visible).
You may need to check the genitalia to be sure.

I' d say a shrivelled Cheilosia. Dusted frons and typical colouration of the legs...

Thanks! Not an easy group - in the swedish key I come to C. vernalis, but not for sure....
