Someone sent me this picture with the question: 'Why is there a bubble hanging out of its mouth?' Apart from suspecting it's some kind of saliva, I couldn't really answer this. Is the fly just drooling? Or is it chewing bubblegum?
And of course ideas concerning the ID are welcome too!

I think this regurgitation play a role in digesting any food it had taken up earlier. When food is available, best take as much as you can, you can digest later. Open for better suggestions. :)
