Hello,
On our French forum, nobody could go further than Empididae.
Can somebody give us a clue?
Thanks in advance.

I do not see any glossy part on the tergites. Could it not be
E. nigrcans?

Hi Paul,
You are right about this image. I overlooked that it is Leptempis. It may be E. rustica having longer proboscis, paler basal antennal segments and coxae. But you know that E. nigricans and E. rustica are very similar.
All the best,
Igor:)

This is then
E. rustica: basal antennal segments are slightly paler than apical segments and the coxae are brownish.
