Location: Midwest Sweden (Dalsland)
Date: 2007-MAY-19
Habitat: Garden, wall of house

A male of Muscidae. The pattern on the thorax resembles Stomoxys calcitrans, but it lacks the proboscis as far as is visible from this angle. Maybe the males don't have those or it is a another species. I have only this photo.

Edit: Changed subject (Stomoxys calcitrans? (male))

I think proboscis isn't visible because it is male of Haematobosca stimulans.
