Hallo again

From my search in the Gallery I found out, that this lazy fly which sat

on a grass
on 2007-06-06 that is yesterday
n Southern Germany, 700 m high

may be Sicus ferruginosus, but I am not shure. Perhaps someone can confirm me and tell me why not a similar Sicus.

Thanks a lot,
Siga

As theca and sternites aren't visible I think it's difficult to distiguish it from similar species of the genus, but maybe someone can???

Yes, as I mentioned too aready, but it cannot be said enough times:

Sicus ferrugineus

- if it is. Next time I will take a photo from the underside. If I had known then, ... but now it has gone. :(

Thanks so long to everybody (I should not write any more, so that the thread with the wrong name gets lost in the depth of the archivs.

You can always edit your own posts! ;) I usually edit my primary subject line when I get better info about what I have photographed. It makes it easier for me (and others) to find the right thread.
