Hello,
the female (ca. 5 mm) is already from mid May, in low vegetation near creek. The male (ca. 4 mm) is from June 10th on dogwood. Northwest Germany.

In North America it would be
Orthonevra rather than
Chrysogaster, but you may have additional Brachyopini in Europe.

Thanks John! At least in the gallery and in my (small) books I found nothing similar. The only
Chrysogaster species here, which is very numerous, is
C. solstitialis. But that looks totally different.
