Hello all,
This small (less than 10 mm) asilid is I guess a Dioctria sp. Can anyone gi further ? There were several of them in Louvain la neuve (Belgium) and, close by, was the second, much larger one (with a sawfly as prey), which I have tentatively identified as Dioctria rufipes. Could it be male and female respectively ??
TIA for any hint
Philippe

Hello,
first picture shows a Dioctria hyalipennis,
second Dioctria spec. D. rufipes would also be my favourite.
