Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Anthomyiidae male ID? Denmark 20-03-2014 -> Lasiomma seminitidum, most likely

This fly was identified as a male Anthomyiidae and a possible
Lasiomma seminitidum on the Danish site Fugle & Natur.
It was seen in Aalborg, North Jutland, Denmark on March 20th 2014. Size about 5 mm.
Can anyone confirm the species ID? Are there other possibilities?

Lasiomma seems right!
There are a number of possibilities;
L. anthomyinum, L. seminitidum and L. strigilatum.
(all with the eyes haired and present in Denmark and on your second photo we can see those haires)
L. anthomyinum with the eyes long and dense haired, the two other species more sparse haired.
In
L. anthomyinum the hindtibia with about
6 av.
In
L. seminitidum / strigilatum the hindtibia with about
3 av.
If I look at the second photo, I don’t think there are 6 av present on t3.
L. seminitidum has de
costa haired ventrally and the hindfemur with
long pv setae.
L. strigilatum has de
costa bare ventrally and the hindfemur with only
short fine pv setae.
Conclusion: we can’t see if the costa is haired or bare ventrally and we don’t have a good view on the legs chaetotaxy (hindfemur and hindtibia)….
Lasiomma seminitidum is a very common species in most countries, more common as
L. strigilatum.
So….there is a good change this could be indeed
L. seminitidum, but I can’t give the full 100% to it.

On your last photo we can see the long pv on the hindfemur, so .....
Lasiomma seminitidum, it seems to be.

Thank you. I know it's hard to be completely sure based on photos like these (not so detailed ones).
Two different people coming to the same conclusion does give it a bit of weight, though.
