Can't figure this guy out. 16 December 2014, Quintana Roo, Yucatan. Tropical forest.
Length: 5 mm to wing apex.
ID help will be appreciated!

It looks like Hymenoptera to me, it is some kind of ant I think :)

One thing I can rule out is ants (Formicidae), but I cannot tell you what it is. The wing venation is poorly visible in the fuscate wings. A collaegue of mine suspects some kind of bee but on a ccount of the wing venation I have some doubts because the venation seems to be rather reduced.
