Hi

* locality - Silgueiros - Viseu - PORTUGAL
* date - 2007.05.26
* size - 5 mm (medium fly)
* habitat - openland; near Mentha spp, grassfield, smiley with many leafhoppers
* substrate - suspensed in a grass.

One of the most spectacular flies I ever seen. This is the second time I see this one. It has a very peculiar way in locomotion. This fly jumps. The jumps are parabolas. ;) It walks a little, then take a big or medium jump (considering its size). It has a very soft greenish hue.
