My guess is Helophilus pendulus, not H. trivittatus.
Would thast be correct?

Helophilus hybridus.

Nowadays H. hybridus is not so rare in The Netherlands as it is in (the middle and south of) France.

I meant "rarer than
H. pendulus &
trivittatus". This is still the case, even in The Netherlands, no ?

Yes, you are right. H. pendulus and H. trivittatus are still the most common Helophilus species here.
