Hi,
Yesterday I went for a walk in some damp woodland in the UK, and I encountered 3 Mosquitoes in the genus Anopholes. The first one that bit me was huge, and I could even feel the bite. The size was close to that of Culiseta annulata, so she was quite an impressive specimen for Anopholes. The other 2 that bit me were much smaller in size, and they looked darker in colour. They were extremely small, similar in size to Culex pipiens. Hope someone out there could help ID the species for me, but I know that my photographs aren't the best as they were taken with a small digital camera.
