A Tabanidae found in Roquetoire, France, the June 12 2014
Size : 15 mm

I changed mind. bimaculata group is more convincing

Can we get a good lateral shot of the head, showing the palps, please.
Looks like this might be H. kaurii.

Lower callus does not look as in H. kaurii. So back to H. bimaculata?
