Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Nice bluish Tachinid (?) with red eyes

I found this one at Leerdam, Netherlands today. Length was appr. 8-10 mm. The eyes have yellowish hairs on them. The arista are bare. I think it must be a Tachinid, although in some respects it's more like Calliphoridae. Does anyone know this beautiful fly? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Most tachinids I leave to Theo and Chris, but I've been right with Epicampocera succincta before. So that's my suggestion!

Thanks for that suggestion, Tony!

Tony is right again !

Bluish Tachinidae, in most cases, are either E. succincta (dark legs, clavate palpi esp. in female) or Pales pavida (reddish tibiae, red tip to scutellum).
