Hi,
I've looked through quite a few of Male Bibio images, but can't find any with real reddish eyes. I can't see any spurs on my images either, so I have no idea. Have you??

It's not Bibio, but the other genus Dilophus
Impossible to give a species name.

Hi Theo,
Off course you're right:) I meant I couldn't find any male Bibionidae images with red eyes:(
Shame it can't be ID-ed. Is it just genitals and DNA that do the trick?

Actually, with the spines on the femur not in a single row and the black humeri, I think it is rather safe to assume
D. febilis.

I agree with Paul, if you can see the feature he mentioned. But I couldn't for sure.
Anyway, D. febrilis is by far the most common species.
