Hello all,
I have got a hunch that this is a Cheilosia sp... Well if so, which species ? If not, what else ?

Heron (Belgium) May 29th. Size approx 10 mm (very much like an Eristalinus which I first thought it was.
TIA for any sugestion or build.
Philippe

I'd say Cheilosia caerulescens female.

Regards.

I'll go with Stephane on this one. Female Cheilosia caerulescens, by the long snout and the apparent dark spots on the wing!
