Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae from 24.02.14: all Muscina? --> also one Phaonia

Hello!

Are all these 7-8 mm females Muscina prolapsa? In garden and on meadows near forest (northwest Germany).

Some larger pictures here.

Hmm, hmm,
#1 is M. prolapsa
#2, #4, #5 are M. levida (the cell r5 is wider at apex)
#3 is a Phaonia (hairy eyes and unbent R4+5).

Thanks a lot, Stephane! I see, it is not at all that easy... :S But at least with #3 I was not sure about Muscina and also thought about Phaonia.

is it possible to tell, which Phaonia? Does not seem to be the usual P. tuguriorum.
