Hi,
I know that heleomyzids might be difficult from pictures, but I make try with tis one. From SW Sweden today. Anyhow it is nice with flies who are in action at winther.

Some heleomyzid have longer spines on the costa (like this one) and I also wonder if this is diagnostic for any generas or if you can find that on species from several genera?

(And if there are any views that is better to take pictures from please tell me ....)

Regards

Krister

You should see the prosternum ! If it has 2 bristles so it should be Gymnomus sp. Andrzej

Thanks for info!

There are two strong bristles on prosternum - and G. caesius I suppose?
