Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Sepsidae? DK 17-11-2013 -> Sepsis sp.

This fly was seen in in my garden in Aalborg, North Jutland, Denmark on November 11th 2013.
I assume it is of the Sepsis genus because of the wing spots, but is an ID to species possible?

It is indeed a Sepsis, but the female cannot be further determined, I am afraid.

isn't at that time of the year
S. fulgens most likely (if not exclusively)? I never see other (bigger, differently coloured)
Sepsis sp. from late autumn to earliest spring (at least here in central Europe or more north).

I am always very careful with identification of female Sepsidae. I agree that I had S. fulgens in mind as well, but if I am not 100% sure or almost 100% certain, that I rather say Sepsis spec.
On this photo I see so few details......
